Many times when, for whatever reason, the home or school seems to come up short for students, we see community organizations stepping in to act as a support and stabilizer. MyTIS will share resources and best practices from community organizations that are in their communities everyday serving as that connect to some semblance of consistency and reliability in a young person’s life. We often think of them as the glue to many efforts. It could be a non-profit, civic organization, or church. They could be providing a hot meal, mentoring, homework help, or a place to have some much needed fun and recreation.
We want to equip our community with the information needed to know how to best support the educator, as well. As with parents and other stakeholders, a companion supplement will be provided to our community partners.
